The house was built in 1929 and it is protected cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia. The family members of the Senoa family lived in the house. Today, the house is a
museum called “House Šenoa” where the legacy of August Senoa, the greatest Croatian 19th-century writer and his family, is showcased to the public.
The house is in private ownership, by the successors of the Šenoa family. The museum showcases original furniture from the second half of the 19th century and the
beginning of the 20th century (secession). House Šenoa hosts occasional concerts and visiting exhibitions.
Numerous TV features and TV shows about Šenoa family and history of Zagreb/Croatia were filmed in the museum, along with the documentary film “Age of Šenoa” in Croatian
Radio Television (HRT) production, as well as photographing of pianist and composer Stjepan Ružić for an interview in the Glorija GLAM magazine.
